About Us

The project has five beneficiaries. The Environment & Resources Authority* (ERA) is the coordinating beneficiary, responsible for overall management and coordination of the project and implementation of certain actions. MEPA is collaborating with four associated beneficiaries: the Ministry of Sustainable Development, the Environment and Climate Change (MSDEC), the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture (DFA), the University of Malta (UoM) and Fundación Oceana.

*The project commenced in 2013 with the Malta Environment and Planning Authority (MEPA) as Coordinating Beneficiary. Following the demerger of MEPA in 2016, ERA took over the role of Coordinating Beneficiary.
