4th LIFE BaĦAR for N2K stakeholder consultation meeting held on 21st November 2017
A fourth stakeholder consultation meeting was held at ERA in which new potential sites for conservation identified through the project and conservation objectives for the new pSCIs were discussed.
The aim of the conference is to bring together key participants in marine conservation and management, including local stakeholders and international experts from Mediterranean areas, to share their views and expertise, as a basis for common efforts to protect the Mediterranean Sea as a whole.

The purpose of this meeting is to inform key stakeholders about the results of the LIFE BaĦAR for N2K project and the way forward in regard to declaring new potential Marine Protected Areas for Malta, so they can engage and contribute to the discussions on the project outcomes and future implementation.

The Life BaĦAR photo-exhibition was displayed at Justus Lipsius Building in Brussels, the main seat of the Council of the EU and of the General Secretariat of the Council, throughout June 2017 to showcase Malta’s marine environment.
